Any Winged Thing

Hi friends! Sorry for the last post! I've been feeling really horribly since Tues. This morning was the first time I made it into my stamp area this week and it was quite a struggle. I've made a couple things for my DT assignments but I don't think I'll be doing much else this week. Hopefully, my symptoms will be better soon. Everyone's thoughts and prayers are really appreciated! Thanks so much!

After a talk with my husband last week, I've decided to need to refocus my energy. I need to start focusing on things that will help out my family in some way. In order to do this, I'm going to cut down on design team work. So, this will be my last post on the DT for Through the Craftroom Door but don't you worry! I will play along whenever I can! And I will still be writing articles for the magazine!

This challenge theme is Any Winged Thing and the sponsor is Paper Makeup Stamps. There's no shortage of beautiful winged things at Paper Makeup! There stamps are so lovely! Very high quality red rubber! I've been a fan since the beginning. The prize this challenge is a $15 gift certificate to the Paper Makeup Stamps store!

Here's my card for this challenge using Paper Makeup's Rose stamp. I also used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch 117 for this challenge. Also, the Ribbon Carousel Challenge 2 is also vintage/shabby chic.

You can go HERE to link up your card for the Any Winged Thing challenge. Have a great day, everyone!

Welcome Baby and Chances to Win

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! I'm pretty much blissed out right now. It's SPRING here and I have to enjoy it while I can because VERY soon it will be 100 degrees! Spring doesn't last nearly long enough here. It's sunny, breezy and clear. (Did you hear my happy sigh?)

Here's a card I made for PC Sketches that was rejected. It's based on sketch 53. I also entered this in the gallery contest for babies after it was rejected. All the elements are Making Memories.

WANNA WIN SOME PRIZES?!?

Through the Craftroom Door is having a birthday celebration over at the TTCD Ning site. You have to register to play along but there are lots of prizes like paper packs, stamps, magazine subscriptions, etc...! Give it a try!

Have a great day friends!

Fun News and a Call!

Hi friends! I hope you are all having a great day! I'm pretty excited about today, I'm going to the doctor to get a CPAP adjusted for my sleep apnea. I'm hoping getting a restful night of sleep will give me more energy and more time to create since I won't be so tired all the time.

I do have an announcement! From now on, I'll be writing the Product Review article for Through the Craftroom Door Magazine. This is kind of like a dream come true for me. When I was in college, I majored in journalism but then got side tracked when I decided I wanted to work with children with special needs. So, this is a little like coming home. I am going to be a PUBLISHED writer in a magazine. It's rather amazing! :D To see my article and lots of amazing projects, articles, and tutorials; subscribe to Through the Craftroom Door. I've heard that late this summer, you will be able to purchase back issues individually in limited supply too.

And since we are on the subject of TTCR, I wanted to fill you in on the next call for the May/June issue:

Themes:

~Parents

~Travel/Bon Voyage

~Graduation Gift

~Mad about 3-D

There is also a sketch. More info can be found right HERE. While you are over there, join the TTCD Ning site. There will be lots of cool stuff over there including games, contests, prizes, tutorials, product review and more.
