Three, Yes THREE New Cards

Hi friends! I hope you are having a wonderful day! My kiddos slept in again! Not as late as yesterday but I'll take it! :D Today, I think we are going to have pajama day and just hang out. We *might* put our clothes on and head to the park but I'm not sure.

Today, I'm sharing a BUNCH of challenge cards I made over the weekend so that I don't turn them in late. With Thanksgiving coming up, I might forget to blog them so I decided to put them all up today.

First up, my card for this week's Ribbon Carousel Challenge. It was a sketch from Laura. But I just realized that I'm LATE for that challenge. However, I'm gonna enter this in THIS week's RCC30 which is Holiday Hoopla. It still works since this is a holiday card. The papers are from Webster's Pages and the ribbon is seam binding that I dyed myself.

Next up is a card for Paper Smooches Sparks challenge where there was a picture to be inspired by. I'm also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp challenge to make a Thank You card. This is also the card I made for this week's SCS Featured Stamper challenge. The featured stamper this week is my friend Tenia and you can check out the card I CASEd HERE. For this card I made Studio Calico paper, Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler, and May Arts ribbon.
Last up, here's a card for the CAS-ual Friday Challenge 29 which is a sketch. I used Doodlebug papers and sticker with a Unity Stamp Co sentiment from Christmas Bough and some bling.
Have a great day, friends!

RCC26 BOO with ME!

Hi friends! I hope you are having a wonderful day! We are having a pretty good week over here. We are getting REALLY excited for Halloween!

Today, is my last challenge on the Ribbon Carousel Challenge team since my term is up. I can't believe it's been 26 weeks! WOW! This has been such a wonderful team and I'm so honored to have been on a team with SO much talent! I need to extend a HUGE thank you to Corinna for having me on this awesome team! But I'm sure I'll be playing along with this challenge ALL the time since it's such a great one!

This week's theme is to be inspired by Halloween! You can make anything you want; a costume, a hair piece, a card, an altered item, home decor, etc... The only RULE is that when you play along with the Ribbon Carousel Challenge is that you need to use ribbon, trim, lace, twine or something that comes on a spool!

This week's sponsor is EAD Designs who we all know that I LOVE! They have fabulous paper crafting stickerz and rub-ons as well as all sorts of Wall Art for your home! This week's winner will receive a EAD Designs prize pack!

Here's my card for this week. I really wanted to go back to doing vintage, I haven't been doing it as much lately. For my spool elements, I used Halloween Divine Twine, black/orange center stitched ribbon, and some orange net ribbon that sold out super fast. The cat and orange circle are from a kit of ephemera I got from Vintage Street Market. The paper is Echo Park. Then I added bling, a vintage button, and Stickles on the cat.

RCC24 Sparkle and Bling

Hi friends! I hope that you had a great long weekend. We spent it being sick so that wasn't terribly fun. But at least we had some time to recoup because having to go to school/work. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.

This week, I'm on with the Ribbon Carousel Challenge. This week's challenge is using Sparkle and Bling. Remember, when you play along with the Ribbon Carousel Challenge, you MUST use ribbon, lace, trim, twine, or something that comes on a spool. Link up your creation by Oct 17, 2011 at 11:59pm.

This week, our sponsor is the awesome Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps! These stamps are super high quality and super cute! The prize is Broomstick Lucy.

Here's my card for this challenge. For my spool element, I used Oyster Divine Twine. The paper and sticker are from Comso Cricket and the sparkle element is Stickles.

Ribbon Carousel is Sponsoring CAS-ual Fridays

***For my Whisker Graphics giveaway, CLICK HERE***

Hi friends! I hope you had a wonderful week! We are doing pretty good around here. Doing lots of things to build up the good kharma and teach our kids about kindness. I guess that alone makes this week pretty awesome. :)

This week, Ribbon Carousel is sponsoring the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge. This week's challenge is to use ribbon loops or ribbon tabs on your clean and simple card. The winner of this week's challenge will win October's Ribbon Club Kit.

Here's my card for this week's challenge. I used some Natural Loop Edged ribbon for my card. See?! LOOPED ribbon to make a ribbon tab? I'm clever! ;) I am combining this with a few other challenges: Less is More 34, Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes, and Unity's Friends With Flair blog hop. For this card I used Unity's On the Bright Side and Cosmo Crickets Odds and Ends.
Be sure to check out the Unity Blog to see everyone participating on the hop today. Leave comments along the way because there's blog candy hidden somewhere in the hop!

Love My Tapes Headband and Card

***For my Whisker Graphics giveaway, CLICK HERE.***
**For my Your Next Stamp post, scroll down**

Hi friends! I hope you are having a fabulous day! We are making it. :) The kids are a wee bit crazy today. But we have their auntie coming to visit and have dinner later so they will be THRILLED!

Here's a project that I blogged on the Love My Tapes blog today.

All I did was take a plain headband and wrap it in some Baylee Fabric Tape. This was really simple to do. It didn't take too much tape, you could probably make 5-6 headbands from one roll of tape! The flower is from Hair Doodles. I have tons of flowers from there and now I can make cute headbands to match!
While I was getting crafty, I decided to pull together a fun little card inspired by the Hero Art sketch on Lily Pad Cards. This sketch just BEGS for some Love My Tapes Lace Tape. I used the light pink, lime and 17mm beige tapes for this. I made the big flower with a Cosmo Cricket Gluber and Pink Satin Pleated Ribbon from Ribbon Carousel. Speaking of Ribbon Carousel, this card fits in perfectly with the current challenge RCC22 alter your ribbon. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Have a great day friends!

RCC 22- Alter It

***For my Whisker Graphics giveaway, scroll down or CLICK HERE***

Hi friends! I hope your week is starting off nicely! Ours is going well! We are having some cooler weather which is SO welcome here! I can't wait until it's actually fall weather here, I'm done with the heat.

This week's Ribbon Carousel Challenge is Alter It. All you have to do it is alter your spool item so that it doesn't just look like ribbon anymore. For example: make a flower, an animal or some sort of shape with your ribbon! Get creative and have fun!

This week's sponsor is Cosmo Cricket! Not only does Cosmo Cricket make fabulous papers but they also have Glubers which are ribbon's best friend! With Glubers, it's SO simple to make your own embellishments! This week, the winner will get some awesome Glubers and an UPcycle crafting kit!

Here's my card for this week. The Ribbon Carousel Crew got to work with some awesome Glubers. I made a flower for my spool element using some Plum Satin Grosgrain Double Band Ribbon. I used some MME paper for this along with a Lawn Fawn sentiment from Sophie's Sentiments. I added some bling and pearls to dress it up. I also used the One Crazy Stamper Sept sketch for this card.

Be sure to check out the Ribbon Carousel Challenge blog for all the Crew's awesome creations and to link up your creation!

Fabric Sheet Flower Card

Hi friends! I hope you are well! We are having a good day. Brady went to school today and was picked as the "special buddy" to his friend who is having a birthday tomorrow. They got to do special activities and his friend brought popsicles to share with the class. After school, we had lunch with a friend of mine and her daughter.
Here's a card I blogged on the Love My Tapes blog today. I made a flat and very mailable flower embellishment by cutting out circles of fabric sheets, inking the edges and layering them. I also made this card for a couple challenges. The sketch is from Clean and Simple Stamping #158. I also made this for this week's Ribbon Carousel Challenge 21 to use fabric on your card. For my spool element, I used Muscade Beige Seam Binding from Ribbon Carousel. (Tons of amazing colors over there!) I also used Imaginsce paper and Lawn Fawn stamps for this card.

Have a great day, everyone!

Fluttery By Wednesday #71

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! We are doing ok. Dustin and I aren't feeling the greatest but the kids seem to be fine. Tomorrow is Brady's first field trip so I'm hoping that I'm well enough to go. He needs a parent to go on each field trip with him. Cross your fingers for us! We are supposed to go to the zoo!
Here's a card I made for the Flutter By Wednesdays #71 challenge. I used some new First Edition paper by Trimcraft that I got at I Heart Papers. This pad is called Desert Blooms. It's so pretty! I used some Martha Stewart stamps for this. My ribbon is from Ribbon Carousel; Walnut Brown seam binding and natural grosgrain looped edge ribbon.

Have a great day everyone!

Key to My Heart

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great weekend! I went to the neurologist on Friday and she has given me a plan of treatment for what she thinks might be causing my migraines and other issues. The GREAT news I got is that I don't have MS! YAY! My doctor was concerned about that and it's good to know that I don't have that. Yesterday, I went to a crop with a bunch of my girlfriends to celebrate!

Today, I'm showing a card I made earlier this week. I made this for two challenges: Shop Our Stash (to use red or ribbon or roses) and Forgotten Stamp Friday 31. I shopped my stash for the stamps (obviously, I haven't used them and I've had them for probably 1.5 years) and these pearls. I decided to make a card with red, ribbon and roses. The stamps are from Practicing Creativity, the paper is Colorbok Flea Market, and the ribbon is Ivory Lace from Ribbon Carousel.
Ohhhh! Ribbon Carousel is having a sale! You have to check it out! There are all sorts of yummy trims, ribbons, etc... on sale and you can get your Ribbon Carousel 20% off! But HURRY! Sale ends tonight at 11:59pm!

Have a great day friends!

RCC11 Inspiration With Laurel

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great weekend! I have a bacterial infection and it is really taking a lot out of me. It is NO fun to be sick in the summer especially with the lovely cool weather we are getting right now. I want nothing more than to take my kids to the zoo or the state fair since the weather is just lovely but I've been in bed. :( I'm on antibiotics so I should be better any day now. Enough about me! How you are better!

Ok, so I was off this week for the Ribbon Carousel Challenge however I just HAD to play along. I'm a few days late but I still have until July 18 at 11:59pm EST to play along. Remember, all creations made for the Ribbon Carousel Challenge need to have ribbon, twine, trim or something that comes on a spool to qualify! :)

This week's sponsor is a favorite of mine, Your Next Stamp! They just had a new release and it is SUPER cute! The World Kids Collection is just my favorite! They are adorable! I decided to combine my card with the Your Next Stamp Challenge #46- Button Up! I love buttons so that's easy peasy! I used last week's Card Positioning Systems sketch for this card. I'm late. I've been too sick to blog.

Here's my card using Rainy Day Fhiona. I used some fabulous Cotton Candy Divine Twine. The patterned paper is Echo Park's Little Girl. I colored with Copics and accented with Stickles.

Ribbon Carousel Challenge 8: Coloring

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! I'm feeling a little under the weather. I'm not sure what exactly it is, maybe something I ate or this new medicine I'm on but I feel icky. Hope YOU are feeling better than me! :)

This week, I'm hostessing the challenge for the Ribbon Carousel Challenge. I picked using coloring mediums as the challenge. Ok, MISTAKE!!! I think I'm the only designed in this group that hasn't taken any Copic classes. So, just bear with me and my self taught coloring!

Here's my card for this week. I combined it with the Stamping Bella sketch challenge for this week. I wish I had adjusted the proportions of the sketch just a little so that there isn't so much open space on the bottom but what can you do? For this card I used some red seam binding to create the stripes behind the image panel and I used some white seam binding that I sprayed with a little glimmer mist for the bow. The image is Stamping Bella and the paper is Cosmo Cricket. And I promise I don't always make mermaid cards and use this paper. ;)

Be sure to hop on over to the Ribbon Carousel Challenge blog to see all the awesome DT samples and to link up your creation! All you have to do is use your favorite coloring medium and some sort of ribbon/twine/lace/trim/etc... on your card. Easy peasy! Link it up for your chance to be Top Spool!

Have a great day, everyone!
