Heaven Scent

I did not get the wording of the title wrong and if you ever tried the soaps from Dee's Home Goods, you would know why I titled this entry like I did. I ordered a custom order from Dee for a sampler of her glorious soaps. She sent me the three pink sugar hearts I ordered and ten small samples. Let me tell you, it was Christmas in a box!

The most wonderful thing happened when I opened the box, all these wonderful scents started coming out of it. You would think that with 11 different scents in there, the box would smell funny but it did not at all. They all mixed and melded together into a sweet and perfumey super scent. It's very nice.

Dee's packaging is super fun and nice. Each piece of soap is wrapped in tissue, then placed in a little bag, tied with a ribbon, and tagged. Now you know why I felt like it was Christmas all over again. I really enjoyed the tags she puts on the items. They are punched pieces of paper with her Dee's Home Goods label on them. On the back, it tells you what soap it is and all the ingredients. This is really important if you want to give the item away as a gift or like in my case, consider using it on a baby. I appreciate all the time and effort that goes into her packaging. It shows that she not only cares about how a product looks but she also cares enough about her customers to inform them of what each product contains. I have received some samples from other sellers that have not taken this consideration. That is fine for me, since I am not allergic to anything in skin products and I do not have sensitive skin. But I can imagine that customers who do have this issue would probably just have to toss the samples they get.

Back to my sampler, I felt like a kid in a candy store! Dee sent me apple blossom (which is pictured above, courtesy of Dee's Home Goods), lemon creme, pomegranate, lemon grass, cherry fizz, rose bouquet, seaberry breeze, moonlit path, unscented, sweet pea, sweet orange and ginger, wasabi apple, and geranium and clary sage. If that doesn't have you salivating, I don't know what would. All the scents are wonderful. The first thing I did was pick each one up and give it a sniff. I still haven't decided which one is my favorite yet. I currently have the lemon grass in my shower and the lemon creme in my soap dish at the sink. I randomly choose them out of the box.

Dee's soaps are very nice. They are very pretty to look at. They are soaps for your whole body. I've used mine a few times now. It rinses very clean and doesn't have too much over powering scent, which is nice. It's nice and light. But the really cool thing about this soap is that my husband even used it. The lemon grass is sort of sweet but sort of earthy too. It was manly enough for him to use after he gave it a sniff. This is the same guy who won't use my unscented shea butter soap because "it smells like shea butter," whatever that means. Not only did he just try it once, he's going to continue using it. I've told him about a few of the other soaps like the olive oil, clary sage, and moonlit path and he said that he would give those a try too. Now, that is really saying something for this soap!
I should mention that in March, Dee is moving her store. You will be able to find her wonderful soaps and her new secret items (I don't know what they will be, but I'm sure they'll be great) at Barefoot Bath and Body. Oh and with my order, I got a coupon for my next order that I am allowed to pass on. I will drop it in the mail to the first person who leaves me a commend saying that they want it.
