EtsyInspired #1 ~ Child of Hope

Boy, do I have something special for you!  Every Tuesday, I will be featuring an Etsy shop on my blog.  For those of you who don't know, Etsy is an online market place where people can sell ONLY handmade items (with the exception of vintage and supplies.)  Etsy is an amazingly warm community.  It's not like most other sites that you shop on.  There's a lot of talent out there.  And I'm hoping that everyone will make a swing back towards buying handmade since there's a lot of character in the items and we should support one another instead of big conglomerates.

My GORGEOUS WONDERFUL AMAZINGLY TALENTED AWESOME design team and I will find inspiration from a featured Etsy shop.  I encourage everyone to play along.
It's super fun.  You can make anything you want; a card, a layout, a tag, an ATC, a pizza, a quilt, whatever sparks your imagination.  Link it up here and I'll look at every single item, I promise.  Also, if people are interested, I'll pick my favorites and post them on my blog with links.

Without further ado, the shop this week is Child of Hope.  Now, Sara does happen to be one of my friends but that doesn't make her creations any less cute.  She makes adorable plushies in lots of pretty fabrics.  Can you believe that she hand stitches each and every one of these?  They are just beyond cute!  She's also given them their own names and personalities.  So fun!

Here are the samples this week, the girls really blew me away with these!  They are more than I could have hoped for and I hope my little card doesn't pale in comparison.

Ashley (me)  I was inspired by Avery.  The pink monkey sitting in all the flowers.

Jami (of Stamp Happy!) was inspired by Yomi, the grounded monkey shown at the top of the page.

Tiffany (of IHeartArt) was inspired by Miki.  A cute flying monkey
