A Labor Day Challenge Card

So, as I said in the previous post, I was VERY rusty from not making cards all week.  That and some of the challenges really took me out of my comfort zone especially since I didn't want to use glitter or any embellishment that might fall off during shipping, so bye bye dew drops.  This was a HUGE challenge for me.

I have one card to share and I actually am happy with how it turned out.  It is for the anniversary card challenge.  We were supposed to make a non A2 sized anniversary card.  Mine is a 4 x 8.5.  I don't have many envelopes and I definitely needed to donate an envelope as well so a soldier could use this.  This actually fits in a regular old mail envelope.  YAY!

I've been wanting to do a card with double hearts for a while.  I think it's a perfect representation of love.  And I think with the sheer white ribbon bow, it does fall into my aesthetic quite nicely, which is more than I can say about the other cards I made.

Here's the basic recipe:
Stamps: Studio G
Paper: Red, white CS, unknown DP
Ink: Real Red, Basic Black
Accessories: ribbon, gel pen
Difficulty (1-Easy 5-Advanced): 1
