A Little Scare

If I have the energy to out off the couch today, I have a card to post but I'm feeling just awful. I woke up this morning to severe abdominal cramping that made me want to cry. I tried walking, laying down, sitting, etc... Finally, after I just couldn't bear it any more, I decided to call Dustin to come home. I called the Advice Nurse and she got me an appointment with an OB.

We dropped Brady off with a friend and headed to the doctor. I saw the doctor and he sent me to Labor and Delivery. Basically, they wanted to hook me up to machines to make sure I wasn't having contractions. I was not. They checked to see how my amniotic fluid was and said it was fine. So after 2 hours, I got to go home.

I still don't know what the abdominal pain was. They basically said as long as it wasn't contractions, I should just take Tylenol and deal with it. So, here I am, still crampy but apparently not in labor. I'm parking it on the couch for today, hopefully I will have the energy to get to my desk later and make something.

  14. O.K. Ashley,

Here is the Labor and Delivery Nurse in me coming out, but sounds like you could have been dehydrated!!! Dehydration in Pregnant women can cause Severe Abdominal Pain!!!

I am horrible about it myself but get to drinking your water my girl!!!!

I am glad everything is O.K. and looks like the scare is over, but I totally know how you are feeling it is scary!!!
