A WCMD Card and a TORENDI GIVEAWAY!!

This is my FAVORITE card I made for WCMD. I love Sugar Nellie's Gorjuss Girls! I really really wanted to win this one but I didn't. Oh well, one day I'll be able to afford these stamps. The challenge was a sketch and it has LOTS of layers. If I didn't want to win the Sugar Nellie stamps so bad, I would have skipped it. It's so not me!

I used this image of Gorjuss and Foxy that was RAKed to me. I love her! And all the paper comes from my Sassafrass mini pad. I just finished with some Primas, dew drops, and some bling.

A Card for Kate

Jennifer McGuire and a couple of her friends are doing a card drive for Kate. Kate is a sweet little 5 year old that was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. The whole thing just breaks my heart. Jennifer is collecting cards for Kate and her family. I figured, it's the least I can do. A card and pray. You can find details on the card drive HERE. I made a little princess card for Kate since all little girls are princesses. The image is Sugar Nellie. I embellished her dress and stockings with orange Spica pen so she's very sparkly. The DP is DCWV and the ribbon is from the dollar bin at Michael's.

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge

I just found out about Dawn McVey's color challenge on her blog. I used to frequent her blog but for some reason (Parker?) I got really busy. But Dawn is super sweet, I mean just look at her. She used to write me back every time I made a comment on her blog.

Ok, so this is my card for the color challenge. The challenge was to use Melon, Cream, Moss, and Medium Pink. My image is Sugar Nellie, one of the Gorjuss Girls. My sentiment is Unity from the June 09 KOTM. The CB folder is Stylized Flowers. There are Stickles on the fairy wings, of course, that's my thing. I'm not super crazy about this card but it's kind of cute.

Today, I MUST clean the house! Oy! It's a horrific mess! Hurricane Brady hits like 10 times a day here. You should see my living room, there are toys where you wouldn't ever think there could be toys! Happy Tuesday friends!

GORJUSS!

This last week's SCS Inspiration challenge was to use Heavenly Hostess as inspiration for a card. Oh my goodness, the site is GORGEOUS! I've never seen such stylish and beautiful aprons! It makes me wanna cook just so I can get one of them...almost. ;)

Anyhow, in honor of the gorgeous site, I had to use a Gorjuss girl. These sweet girls are from Sugar Nellie. I am absolutely in love with them! I don't actually have any of the stamps, just images. But someday!

I was inspired by THIS piece. Since it's called Sparkle, you know I had to make my card shine! I added Diamond Stickles to her dress, which is why the color looks different from her shoes. And I added Baby Blue Stickles to the swiss dots on the card. I finished with some ribbon. Voila!
