I just figured out the COOLEST thing because I was in a little bit of a bind. In the post below, I showed you all a card with a pink tree. The rhinestones on that card are what inspired this tip and I think people will really like it!
I wanted to do a monochromatic pink card, but I have NO pink rhinestones. I have recently picked up a TON of clear rhinestones in the one dollar section at Michael's. I put these clear rhinestones on the card and they didn't look quite right. So, I just grabbed one of the markers I was using for my card and colored the rhinestones.
I let the rhinestones dry for a bit and ran my finger over them. To my surprise, the color stayed on them! I just used my regular Marvy markers! So, after a few more minutes, I gave the rhinestones another coat of color and let them dry. I am so happy with how they turned out!
If you are ever in a bind and need colored rhinestones, now you know what to do! Just break out some of your favorite markers and get to coloring! How fast and easy is that?
