Hugged My Heart #22

Yesterday, we went to get Brady's FIRST haircut.  He's over 18 months.  This is a picture of him afterwards.  You'll have to forgive the blue lollipop mouth.  He was SCREAMING and crying during his haircut and the ladies at the salon felt so bad for him.  Lollipop was the only thing that would cheer him up.  He looks like SUCH a big boy now.  It's kind of sad.  But with the short hair, his face looks a look chubbier and I think that's pretty cute!

Here's my list for this week:

1. 2009 Stamp to Spend Challenge.  I can't even tell you how much I spent on supplies last year.  I have receipts but I REALLY don't want to know.  Seriously.  It's BAD.  That's why I've joined this challenge.  I know that I need to use up my supplies before I buy new ones.  I'm allotting myself $1 for every card, $5 for a layout (or 2 6x6 layouts), and $5 for an altered item as a craft allowance.  AFTER I earn some money, I will permit myself to spend it.  I went back to the first of January and entered in my totals.  I'm in the RED!  I need to make LOTS of stuff before I can buy anything.  But that's ok by me!  I have lots of supplies!

2. The paper crafting community.  I don't know why I never realized it before but there are so many wonderful people in this community.  People who are reaching out to help others constantly.  I love it!  I love that one person will decide to donate cards to a cause and tons of others will join in.  I love that people will donate blog candy to causes.  I love that we support each other and help one another instead of viewing each other as competition.  It's wonderful!

3. Bath and Body Works concentrated room spray.  I've recently found this stuff.  It's AMAZING!  You spray two squirts once a day and your whole room smells wonderful all day long.  I've been looking for something like this for a long time.  Candles are hard when you have a baby and I don't like those ones that plug into the wall.  This is just perfect!  There's just the yummy scent you choose, no perfume-y after smells.  It comes in all sorts of scents like strawberry, apple, fresh linen, and lots more!

4. Chipotlefan.com My DH and I love Chipotle!  This site is awesome!  There are lots of features like how to win free things, message boards, etc...  But my favorite is the recipes!  They show you how to make Chipotle food at home.  YUM!  We've made the rice and steak.  Both very delicious!  And we'll be trying more recipes soon!

  8. Oh the B&BW room spray sounds awesome! I agree, having candles and kiddos just doesn't go well. Especially since as moms we are constantly moving from room to room with them. I recently started using diffusers but I cannot wait to try this. Thanks so much Ashley, your blog is great!

  10. The B&B spray sounds great! Even though DD is eight, and knows to stay away from candles, she now wants to help blow them out---early! And she has very long hair.

  13. Your little boy is adorable! My 4 year old just stopped crying when he gets a haircut. Lollipops are the only thing that make haircuts tolerable.
