Mustache Cupcake Picks

Hi friends!  I hope you are having a great day!  We are doing pretty good.  We had a great Thanksgiving then we do Thanksgiving AGAIN on Friday with my hubby's extended family.  Today, we will have a family day.  :)  Though, I did leave my wallet at my mom's house that is 40 miles away and I think the kids are getting a cold.  Oh well.

On one of my previous posts, I mentioned that I made a mustache craft for my friend's son's birthday. Here it is.  The little guy wanted a mustache bash and that he got!  It was a super cute party!  My friend mentioned to me that she needed some way to dress up the cupcakes and I told her that I would make cupcake picks for her.  She is so sweet and her son is a doll so it was my pleasure.  I used The Cat's Pajamas Mustache Cut Ups for these.  I die cut two mustaches for each pick and then used a double stick tape runner to cover on mustache in glue, then I placed the toothpick and added the other mustache.  These turned out pretty cute!  Here's one on a random cupcake I bought Dustin from Target.
And here they are at the party.
Have a great day, friends!

Turkey Day Bitty Bags

Hi friends!  I hope you're having a fabulous day!  We are doing pretty good.  The kids are having a great Thanksgiving break!  It's been a really lovely time hanging out with our friends.  We are looking forward to having Thanksgiving dinner with our family.  It will be Avery's first Thanksgiving.

Today, I'm sharing a project I made for the boys's teachers for Thanksgiving.  I packaged up some homemade cookies.  I used the White on Kraft Polka Dot Middy Bitty Bags which are SO cute and I love the kraft look for fall.  I grabbed some Becky Higgins Grid Cards and this darling Lawn Fawn mini stamp set and made the tags for this.  I added some Orange and Lemon Divine Twine and tied it in a knot then adhered it to the card.  Then I added some Chevron Petite Stickys to help stick these to the bags.
Have a great day, everyone!  And Happy Thanksgiving!

TCP Tues: Make 3 Cards

Hi friends!  I hope you're having a great day!  We are doing pretty well.  The kids are off on Thanksgiving break but we are keeping VERY busy by playing with friends that we don't get to see when school is in session.  It's hard to see friends when school is in because it's just so busy with school and extra circulars.

The weekend before last, we went to a super cute mustache birthday party and I wanted to make a birthday card for the birthday boy.  I have another project I made for this party that I'll share later.  While I was making the card, I figured that I would try to participate in a challenge as well since I only craft once in a while.  I decided to play along with The Cat's Pajamas TCP Tues Challenge because I was going to use their mustache dies for my card anyhow.  I also used TCP Simply Said for all my sentiments.  All the patterned paper is Echo Park Times and Seasons.  The challenge this month is to make a card then make two more cards with what you have on your desk.  Here are my cards:

Ethan's 4th birthday card.
Another boy birthday card since my sons have so many friends.
 No 1 Congratulations card.
Have a great day, friends!

Love For JLK

Hi friends!  I hope that you all are well.  Today, I'm writing about something that has been weighing on my heart a lot lately.  My sweet friend Libby who I have known for almost ten years is experiencing a mother's worse nightmare right now.  Her beautiful daughter was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor the day before her 6th birthday.  Jennifer came to Libby and Tony through adoption after a long road of miscarriages, failed IVF, and failed adoptions.  She's their dream come true.

The day before Jennifer's 6th birthday, she was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma.  This is an aggressive tumor with a bleak prognosis.  Jennifer (JLK) is currently undergoing a 6 week radiation treatment plan far from her home and isn't able to go to school or even see her siblings everyday right now.  They are trying to get JLK into some experimental treatment in hopes of buying more time with their little princess.  Insurance does not cover these treatments.  They are also trying to raise money so that Jennifer's dad Tony can take some time off work to be with his family.

I'm BEGGING each person who sees this post to donate just $1 to the Kranz family.  Could you even imagine having to go through this horror?  Could you imagine being Tony and having to leave your daughter at the hospital to go to work?  Please find it in your heart to paypal this family just $1 and prayers/good thoughts.  If each one of my Google Friend Connect followers donated just $1, they would have almost $500 to help keep their little girl on this earth for more time.  You can use their Paypal address: loveforjlk@gmail.com.

You can read more about JLK and keep up with her fight on her website LoveforJLK.org.  Thank you for anyone who finds it in their heart to help!

A Moxie Fab Thanks

Hi friends!  Today, I'm creating a post for a sweet friend of mine Cath Edvalson as a farewell and thanks for all the Moxie Fab memories.  Cath has been such an important part of the Paper Crafts team and will so greatly be missed.  To start the hop, you can go to the Moxie Fab World post.  You should be coming here from Sarah Martina Parker's Blog.

Cath is really special to me!  Before I was ever published, I was an honorable mention on a Moxie Fab World challenge and it gave me the confidence to start submitting.  I also look to Cath for trends.  I'm not a very trendy person and I don't really understand what's considered trendy so I heavily relied on Moxie Fab World and Cath's CHA posts to know what what up and coming.  She is vibrant and just as nice in person as she is online.  It's such a pleasure to have her as my friend.  Here are pictures of us from CHA-W 2010, 2011, and 2012 (flat Cath).
I had a really hard time with this card at first.  I don't craft very much anymore and I wanted to make something really special for this really special person.  Then I found this Hello Again paper and all the sudden, it came easily.  I sure hope you like it, Cath!

Next up on the hop is Jessica Witty!  Have a wonderful day, friends!

Disneyland or Bust Sale

Hi friends!  I'm trying to take the kids to Disneyland while we are in Southern California this weekend. We just had to pay a lot of money in car repairs and Brady's dental surgery so we were going to cancel the trip and my kids were SO sad.  I, then, decided to have a crafty yard sale to see if I could get enough money to pay for our Disneyland tickets since the other parts of the trip are already taken care of.

I started a Facebook group where I posted pictures of all my items.  No REASONABLE offers will be refused.  I have Paper Smooches, Lawn Fawn, Pink Paislee, Sparkle Creations, Stampin Up, Northridge Media magazines, My Mind's Eye, Paper Trey Ink, dies, and much more more.  You can check out the group HERE. If you are looking for something, just let me know.  If the thought of parting with it doesn't make me cry then it's for sale.

Also, if you'd like to buy any of the cards seen on my blog, let me know.  I can also put together card lots.  Thanks, friends!
