Beauty of the Butterfly

Hi friends! I hope you are all having a great week! We have no plans today so I'm thinking about making a trip to CVS to see how many deals I can get. It's been a LONG time since I've gone to CVS so we'll see how that goes.
Here's a card I made this weekend for a couple challenges. I'm entering this one in the All Things Unity #40 one layer card challenge and the Wee Memories #68 no patterned paper challenge. I used some Tattered Angels mist for the card stock and for the seam binding. I used Unity's Delight in Beauty for this card.

Have a great day friends!

ATU32 From the Hearth

Hi friends! I hope you are all having a great weekend! I am busy busy busy with deadlines. Hopefully, I'll have some time to relax today. I have been doing a fair amount of creating though, so that's good.

Today, I have my card for the current All Things Unity challenge to share with you. The challenge is From the Hearth, using food themed stamps. You can see the challenge details HERE.

Here's my card, I decided to make a Thanksgiving card with a combo of Unity and Ippity Stamps since this is All Things UNITY, after all. The pumpkin is from Ippity's That's Creepy. I thought that the flourishes were actually lovely for a Thanksgiving card. The sentiment is from Unity's Simple Blessings. The patterned paper is Bo Bonny Vicki B. The twine is Brown Sugar Divine Twine.

Have a great day everyone!

My Savannah Card

Hi friends! Happy Thursday! I can't believe I slacked so much on my blogging this week! I literally have a whole folder of cards to blog but I just haven't felt up to it lately. Maybe it's spring fever or something.

Ok, every now and then when I run really low on mojo, I decide to make a card inspired by a friend. This time, I decided to go with Savannah. I LOVE this girl! She's so creative and sweet! (Go leave her comments, she's doing Growing the Unity this week and she has blog candy!)

So, I decided to take a couple of the challenge teams she's on and combine them into one Sav inspired card. The sketch is from the All Things Unity challenge (seen in the graphic below) and the colors are from last week's Play Date Cafe challenge (I'm a little late for that one.) I used Unity Stamps (on sale at Paper Maniac this month!) because they are Sav's favorite. Plus, I can't make a Sav card without a butterfly. :) The sentiment is perfect because she really does inspire me! She's an amazing crafter!

Have a great week friends! I have tons more blogging to do so stay tuned!

Card Details:
Cardstock: white, Kraft
Stamps: Unity Could I Be Any Cuter, Unity Heartfelt Sentiments
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Misc: Spellbinders Banners, May Arts string, Queen & Co pearls, CB embossing folder

Buttony Birthday

Here's my post from Paper Maniac Blog for this week:

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Have you seen the April specials at Paper Maniac yet?! Absolutely, spectacular deals!
Here's my card for this week. We went to a birthday party over the weekend and my sons suggested that we give their friend a train card. So, of course, I pulled out my Echo Park Little Boy paper. Love these little trains! The sentiment is from a Unity (huge sale on these!) set,Birthday Chic in Memento Rich Cocoa. I finished with some buttons.

(ETA: I'd like to enter this in the current All Things Unity Challenge to make a creation with buttons on it.)

Have a great week everyone!

Birthday Train: Choo Choo!!

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great day and an even better week. I'm glad it's already Wednesday! I'm looking forward to the weekend! It can't seem to come fast enough these days!

Today, I'm blogging a card I made for the All Things Unity challenge which is birthday theme cards. You can check out this challenge out RIGHT HERE, it's challenge #26. I'm not guest designing anymore so I get to actually play along. The prize this time is some Jillibean Soup.

Here's my card. I used some Echo Park Little Boy and the the matching stamps from Unity. I pulled out the old markers I used before I had Copics and used them as stamp markers. Each train car is a different color though it's hard to tell in the picture.

Have a great day everyone!

All Things Unity: Alter It!

Hi friends! I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend! We are doing really well over here! YAY! I love it!

Today, I have a new All Things Unity challenge for you! It's a super fun one too! It's "Alter It." You can alter anything you want ie frames, journals, etc... All you have to do is alter an item using Unity or Ippity stamps.

There's a huge prize this month! It's a 2011 February KOTM! Woohoo! I wish I could win! That's a fabulous prize! So, be sure to link up your creations on the All Things Unity blog!!

Here's my project for this week. I actually already bought this frame before I knew about this challenge because I was gonna alter it for the Unity Co-Brand challenge but I didn't get around to it. I think I might want to make it a little more decorative but I'm not sure. I had a vision of making a frame for my boys with some Echo Park Little Boy. How perfect are these stamps and this paper?! Seriously, even the colors matched the kids's shirts.

Be sure to check out the DT to see what they made too!

Project Details:
Frame: Target $1 Spot
Patterned Paper/Sticker: Echo Park Little Boy
Misc: May Arts orange ribbon, red polka dot ribbon, Marvy Markers

All Things Unity #24

Hi friends! I'm super excited to be back at All Things Unity for the month of February! How awesome is that? I'm really excited to be working with this DT!

The challenge for this time is to use your favorite Unity or Ippity Stamps to make a card or project. How fun is that?! I love all the stamps so it was hard to pick! I decided to use a super fun new (to me) set from Unity/Melody Ross called Domestic Bliss. I actually have tons of favorite stamps so I can't really say this is my only favorite! It would be like picking a favorite kid!

So, here's my card that I paired with some fun Melissa Frances Kitschy Kitchen papers. I added some hand dyed seam binding. I stamped the cake on a Nesties Label 8. I also used a corner rounder and a Martha Stewart border punch for this card.
Check out the DT:

And stop by the ALL THINGS UNITY BLOG to link up your creation and see details about the fun prize!

FWF Part 2

So, I don't know if I'm actually allowed to do this since my Friends With Flair post is supposed to stay at the top of my blog all Friday. However, I need to post this card for a challenge. And it's still Unity so I'm good to go right? I just hope no one puts me in stamping jail. :)

Ok, here's a card I made for THREE challenges! YAY me! First off, this is for Winter's Card for St Jude's drive. She's asking people to send over Valentine's card for the kids at the hospital, I LOVE that! Second, this is for the All Things Unity challenge to make a mini card. This one is 3x3. And last but not least, this is for the Wee Memories challenge to make a card using twine.

Ok, that's it for me today. I think. Who knows, maybe this will be a 3 parter but I doubt it!

PS Huge sales start at Paper Maniac on Monday. I can't wait!

Card Details:
Card stock: white
Stamps: Unity Lovely Baubles and Bits
Misc: twine from Endless Inkabilities, Stickles

Hippity with Some All Things Unity

Oh my gosh! I feel like the little white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland! I'm always LATE LATE LATE for a very important date! It's not like me AT ALL. :(

Ok, so here's my tardy DT card for the All Things Unity challenge. The challenge is to be inspired by the colorful picture below. For this card, I also used the current sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping. The stamps are from Ippity's Fall for You. The paper is Cosmo Cricket's DeLovely and the ribbon is Bazzill. The circle and scalloped circle are Marvy punches.

Don't forget to stop by the Ippity blog to check out all of the participants for today's blog hop. Also, play along in our All Things Unity challenge, it's super fun! YAY! Have a happy Monday everyone and thank you to all our troops!

All Things Unity 5

Are you all ready for a new All Things Unity challenge?? :) I sure am! This time, we have a color challenge for you. Here are the colors, to the right. There are no specific brands you need to use, just come as close to the colors as you can. I added some neutrals to my card too. Sara's pretty relaxed, so I'm gonna go with it's ok to do that. :)

Here's my card for this week. I also used the Inked Stained 4-30 sketch. The stamp is from Unity's April '10 KOTM. The paper is Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird. The twine is from one of my Caffinated Cropper kits. And the pearls are Kaisercraft.

All Thing Unity Challenge 4

Are ya'll ready for a new All Things Unity Challenge? Our challenge this time is to use the theme "Up in the Sky." You can make a project with anything that you can find in the sky (like birds, planes, clouds, etc...) or quotes about the sky. You must you Unity/Ippity Stamps to play along. Link your challenge card up HERE so we can take a peek at it!

Here's my card. I used owls for my up in the sky object. I always used the Limelight Papercrafts sketch for this card. The stamp is from the April Retail store kit which I coincidentally got at Limelight. The DP is from My Mind's Eye, the winter Ippity paper pack. Love this stuff! The letters are Thickers and the ribbon is from Joann Fabric. There are also dew drops on the tummies of the five owls in the center of the card on the DP, can you see them? I think they add a fun touch. The dew drops are from my April Caffinated Cropper kit, With a Cherry on Top.

Check out the DT:

Hope you all get to play along! Happy rest of the weekend, everyone!!

FWF: A Green Challenge

Woohoo! It's Friday! And it really is Friday (I usually write this post on Thursday but the day just got away from me.) We have a PACKED weekend again. But I kind of love it. :)

Alright, today is the SECOND ever All Things Unity Challenge! The challenge this time is to create a GREEN card. But green can mean different things. 1. You can make a card that's green in color 2. You can make a card that's recycled or reusing product 3. You can make a card only using scraps. OR you can do all three!

I choose to make a card using only scraps and some re-purposed items. The doily and flower are from the Beeez Kneez kit available at Caffinated Cropper. (Hurry, there's only 9 sets left!) The flower is actually made from an old dictionary. How cool is that? I love the way it looks and I love that it isn't "new." I painted the doily, the button, and distressed my sentiment with some Turquoise Creative Inspirations Paint. I'm gonna talk more about this paint later on this week. :) I stamped the background (Unity's Distressed Dots) in Versamark. And the sentiment from Ippity's Just Wanted To Say is in Memento Tuxedo Black. I also wanted to make this for the Moxie Fab doily and lace challenge.
