Creating is Fun/Ippity Blog Hop (BLOG CANDY!)

Hi friends! Welcome to the Creating is Fun and Got {Ippity} (Ippity Chick Maria Levine) Blog Hop! These two teams are going together for a SPRING themed blog hop. Don't forget to leave comments at each stop because there's a prize to be won! The prize is a $25 gift certificate to Creating is Fun and some Ippity Stamps! Woohoo! Also, read to the bottom of this post because I'm offering up some blog candy in celebration of this hop.

You should be arriving here from Angie's Blog. If not, please go to Martha's Blog to start the hop!

My first card for today uses a Creating is Fun Doily, CIS white satin ribbon, and a CIS pearl buttons. I used the flower from Ippity Now and Always and the sentiment is from Ippity Sweet Thoughts of Spring. The paper is Dear Lizzy Neapolitan and the border punch is EK Success.
Here's my next card using Jen del Muro's Mar '12 SFYTT. I used a lace trim and some pearl cord from Creating is Fun. The stamps are from Ippity Sweet Thoughts of Spring. I used the same papers, Copics, and Stickles on this card.
Here's the blog candy I'm giving away. Just leave a comment to win. For an extra entry, become a follower of my blog and leave a comment telling me you've done so. If you're already a follower, please leave an extra comment to win. This is open for US residents only. Sorry, I'm not well and I will ask hubby to take this to the mail station at his work and it only does domestic.
Next up on the hop is CARRIE! Have a wonderful day, friends! Enjoy the hop!

WCMD Lea's Halloween Challenge

Hi friends! Hope you had a great weekend and YAY for World Card Making Day! I don't know how it brought on all my mojo but it did.
Here's a card I made for Lea Lawson's Halloween Challenge. I used some Ippity Stamps and Echo Park paper. I also used some Tattered Angels mist in Jack-o-latern for this. Don't you love these ribbons? I used Black/Orange center stitched ribbon and black net ribbon.

Have a great day, everyone!

Fintastic

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great day! It's kind of late on Monday and I'm winding down. I looked at my pictures from earlier today and I'm SO disappointed in myself and my camera. I think I'm going to take 2nd day of school pictures and just go with it. I have ONE good one from today and I guess that's enough. Post coming soon!

Ok, so my friend Jessie has a challenge she does every Friday called Forgotten Stamp Friday. I love the idea of this because I have SO many stamps that I LOVE that I just never remember to use anymore. I told Jessie I would do this on Friday but I got behind. Sorry Jessie! I haven't inked up any Ippity in a while so I literally closed my eyes and pulled a stamp set out of the basket. I pulled out Fishy Philosophy. I used this week's Card Positioning Systems sketch (#229) for this card. The paper is Echo Park Splash.

Have a great night everyone!

Ippity Link Up

Hi friends! Hope you had a great weekend! We are still in the midst of our weekend. :)

I've decided that I'm going to join in on the Ippity Linky Party this week. I made this card a while ago for a call and haven't shared it on my blog yet so I figured today would be a good day to share. I used some fun Cosmo Cricket Matilda papers and Ippity's That's Creepy to make this card. The label is Nesties Labels 8.

Have a great week everyone!

Growing in Unity Day 2 (Giveaways!)

***For my Lawnscaping post, please scroll down***

Hi friends! Happy Monday! I am currently on a mini getaway in the Redwoods in Sonoma County, CA. :) Isn't that fun?! Dustin and I are taking our late anniversary trip. I meant to have this schedule to post last night, but I was feeling REALLY sick so I crawled into bed at 830pm. I know, party animal, right?

Thanks for joining me for day 2 of Growing in Unity! Don't forget to leave comments EVERY DAY for the drawing! There will be 3 blog candies at the end of my week; 1 from Unity and 2 from me! :)

Today, I decided to go with some Ippity. Mostly because for so long now, there was an Ippity hop on Mondays. I don't know what's happening with that, but we shall see! :) So, one stamp (from Now and Always) two different ways, again. :) I really am enjoying showing the versatility not only of the stamp but also in my designing.

This first card uses the Sweet Sunday Sketch #115 from my pal Karen Giron. Karen is an amazing designer, I'm pretty sure I "met" her through Taylored Expressions. I do get the pleasure of being Facebook friends with her so we occasionally post to each other.

Ok, so I decided to go for a fun and cute, bright and happy card. This is probably my "typical" style, I think. I really do think of myself as a fun and cute stamper though I like to experiment. What do you think? I decided to use some Echo Park Summer Days paper. I'm in LOVE with this paper pack! It's SO bright! The sentiment is from Ippity's How You Doin? I was going to go without a sentiment but the card felt like it was begging for one. The butterfly is made with a Martha Stewart punch.

For my second card, I decided to go with classy and elegant. I think this style is probably the one LEAST represented on my blog. I can hardly believe that this is the same stamp set! I decided to use some Basic Grey Hello, Luscious paper. (I love this paper too!) And I accented the flower with some pearls. The sentiment is from the same Ippity set as the flower, Now and Always. And then I just added a giant gold satin bow. Sigh...can you say luxury? Though, now that I think about it, I have NO idea how I'm getting that card into an envelope!

Thanks for joining me again today as I Grow in Unity! :) Leave comments everyday! And I hope to see you back tomorrow!

FWF: Feel Better Soon

Hi friends! Happy Friday! I'm excited since this weekend is Easter and it will probably be the first that Parker can really participate in. You'll be that they will be LOTS of pictures! :)

Here's a rather CAS card I made using some Unity and Ippity stamps. I actually made this for a call and it wasn't picked up. You win some you lose some, you know? There's no patterned paper on this card. Isn't that crazy? It's actually a little out of character for me. Some colored ink? Lots of neutrals? I'm not sure if I really like it. Hmmm... The doily is from Unity/Bella Blvd Bella Doilies and the sentiment is from Ippity's Just Wanted to Say (which is really one of my favorite sets.) I just added gems, seam binding and ribbon.

Ok friends, don't forget to leave a comment since there's blog candy hidden somewhere within the Friends With Flair hop. Go over to the Unity Blog to see everyone participating in today's hop! Don't forget, Unity Stamps are on sale at Paper Maniac but only through the rest of April! AND there's a COUPON this weekend using coupon code JELLY_BEANS to get an extra 15% off orders of $30 or more! Woot!

FWF: Welcome Baby

Hi friends! Happy Friday! Guess what? My 6th wedding anniversary is tomorrow! YAY! We are dropping the kids off at my In Law's house and they will stay there until Sunday. :) No real plans yet but a much needed break so I'm THRILLED!

Here's my card for the new Unity Friends With Flair challenge. I have no idea what those crazy kids are up to but I like it! :D Well, I don't really KNOW that I like it but I'm sure I do.

Here's a card I made for a call that was rejected. What can you do? It's the best of so many worlds! Unity, Ippity and Cosmo Cricket. I mean seriously, so cute! The bunny is Unity and Cosmo Cricket Togetherness Families and the sentiment is from Ippity's Moonbeams and Heartstrings.

Have a great day everyone! Check out the Unity Blog to see everyone participating in the hop! And LEAVE a comment! One of the prizes is HIDDEN on a blog so you have to leave comments everyone!

PS don't forget that Unity Stamps are on sale at Paper Maniac!

A Card and Some Causes

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great day! My kids are still sick and we are spending yet another day inside. And it's REALLY windy out there! Oy!

Here's yet another reject card. I can't believe I still have more to post! This was based off of sketch 56 for the Go-to Sketches call. I used some Heartfelt Creations stamps for the first time on this one. I hand cut the flowers. I have the dies but I couldn't get it perfect so I figured I'd hand cut this time and practice at a later date. The quote is from Ippity's Delightful Little Things.

A couple other things today:

1. My friend Sparkle is having a fundraiser over at her online store Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps. For every Rin stamp that is purchased through the end of March, she will donate $5 to Japan Disaster Relief. My order is on it's way!

2. My sweet cousin Alexa is participating in an event on April 25, it's 25 hours of silence to support The Invisible Children Protection Plan. She only needs $20 to reach her fundraising goal. This is the first time she's ever participated in a cause like this and I'm SO proud of her. I strongly believe in giving back whenever I can. So, HERE is her donation page. If you can donate even $1, I would be so grateful! I would love for her to at least meet her goal on the first time out.

Card Details:
Cardstock: cream
Patterned Paper: Basic Grey Hopscotch
Stamps: Ippity Delightful Little Things, Heartfelt Creations Posies
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Misc: Martha Stewart border punch

Ippity Hop: Witch Hat

***I'm blogging on the Paper Maniac blog today too with some Unity goodness, if you would leave me a comment on that post as well, I'd really appreciate it!***

Hi friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! We had a fun one! Lots of parties to go to. And I think it's just the beginning of the birthday party season.

I'm joining the Ippity Hop this week with a little Halloween card. I made this quite some time ago for a publication call but it didn't make it. I've decided to not submit it again but that just means it's more to put on the blog! :D This is all stuff from my stash pretty much.

Have a wonderful week, friends! Don't forget to check out the Ippity Blog to see everyone who will be in this week's hop.

Ippity Hop: Welcome Home

Hi friends! Happy Monday! It's been a really long time since I've done the Ippity Hop. How fun is this?

Here's yet another Paper Crafts reject. This was for sketch #10. I thought it looked like a door. I don't think I was the only one. Anyhow, I busted out some real wood paper for my door. Ippity House a Home set was perfect for this card, don't you think? I just finished it with a little brad doorknob.

Hope you all have a great day! Be sure to check out the Ippity Blog to see what everyone has created!

Clear It Out Challenge

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great weekend! We are laying low this weekend and trying to relax. I'm getting a little reading done. :)

A couple of my friends Martha and Rachel have started a new challenge called Clear It Out. I love the premise of their challenge! They are trying to clear out their supplies that are piling up, isn't that wonderful? This week's challenge is anything goes.

I've decided to try to use up some stickers that I've had laying around for a little while now. They are from Colorbok. I really need to just have certain days where I dedicate a day to using up all the stuff that I've hoarded.

Have a great day everyone! I hope you have a wonderful rest of the weekend!

Cardstock: white
Patterned Paper: Memory Box Rhubarb Tart
Stamps: Ippity Regal Greetings

Our Christmas Cards

Hi friends! We are home today since I have two kids with colds. Sigh...that's ok. I'm fine with hanging out at home. I certainly do not want to go to any stores!

Today, I'm showing the Christmas cards that I mass produced for our family and friends. Sadly, I haven't gotten these mailed off yet. Hopefully, I will today. We'll see. Not sure how that will work with two sick kids.

I made a few different variations on the same card. I made some bright and fun ones with Echo Park's Everybody Loves Christmas. And I made more traditional ones with Echo Park's Merry Christmas.

Normally, I don't make our Christmas cards, I just send photo cards. But this year, I was chatting with D's Grandma about how people don't send cards anymore so I decided to make cards and put a picture in the envelope for those who like pictures. Personally, I love pictures because I get to see how everyones' families have changed over the year.
I experimented with the border punch on some of the cards. The ones in the pictures are my favorites. There are ones I just did a couple of since I didn't really end up liking them.

Can I just tell you that making the cards isn't nearly as labor intensive for me as addressing them? Oy! I don't mind the making part, but all the writing is a chore for me. Also, I'm not that organized so FINDING people's addresses wasn't an easy task either!

Hope you all have a VERY Merry Christmas! Or a WONDERFUL any other holiday you celebrate! OR a FABULOUS winter break if you don't celebrate any holiday. :)

Ippity Christmas

Hi friends! Happy (I guess) Monday! :) I hope you all had a great weekend! I was sick. Still am. I'll probably head to the doctor today.

Here's a quick card I made while I was at my friend Diane's house last week. I love crafting with friends! I went with a nice CAS card since it's kind of rough to take all the accessories and embellishments you need when you are crafting out. But with crafting kits from paper companies, (like this one from Echo Park) make it a lot easier.

Alright, be sure to check out the Ippity blog to see everyone who is on the hop today. Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Sooo Sick!

But I don't want to give up on my NaBloPoMo. I'm hoping this is a cold but this morning when I woke up the room was spinning. NOT a good sign. But hopefully, it will get better REALLY fast as D goes back to work on Tuesday.

Here's a fast card from me. Paper and sticker from Echo Park. Stamp from Ippity. And string from CTMH.

Have a great day everyone!

Ippity Hop: Thanks

Holy moly! I fell asleep really early last night and forgot to blog. Whoops! Sorry friends!

Here's a card I haven't blogged yet but you might have seen in on the Ippity blog a couple weeks ago. I loaded it into the gallery but I haven't shared here yet since I've had so many projects to share. It's just a simple thank you card using some Basic Grey Lemonade. I love this paper! This displays some of my very favorites from this pack! Also, this card uses an SCS sketch from a couple weeks ago.

Check out the Ippity blog to see everyone participating in today's hop. And don't forget to leave comments ALL over since there's a prize hidden on this hop!

Vintage Butterfly

Hi friends! It's Friday! Woohoo! I'm excited! This week went by a bit faster however it wasn't much easier. I'm hoping it eases soon, it's taking a toll on everyone. But we are READY for the weekend!

Ok, I have another card from the HYCCT challenges. This was my friend Sara's challenge to use something old and something new. The old is my Unity Butterfly Beauty stamp set and the Basic Grey Sugared paper. The new is the flowers and doily. I also think that this was the first time I used Ippity's Love in Return. The was a GetSketchy sketch from a couple weeks ago. I got an honorable mention on that one! :)

Have a great weekend everyone! And check out the Unity Blog to see all the participants for this week's Friends With Flair.

For today's Ippity hop, I'm sharing a card I made for HYCCT. It was a challenge to make a card with a paper flower on it. I used die cuts to make this flower. All the paper you see here is Echo Park, the ones that came with the last Ippity release.

Be sure to go to the Ippity Blog and check out everyone on the hop. Don't forget to leave a comment on everyone's blog since there is a prize hidden somewhere on the hop!

Fall Thanks

Hi friends! So, day one of our new schedule was harder than I thought it would be. It was a bit rough to eat dinner with no daddy here. I might be able to push dinner back a bit but having it at 7pm when your kids go to bed at 8pm might not be the best idea. Who knows?

Ok, I have a hard to share with you today. As I often do. ;) I thought I would make a thank you card with some nice fall colors. But I couldn't help but put a butterfly on there. There are butterflies in fall, right? I'm not sure. I love this ribbon, I'm not sure where I got it from. I *think* it's May Arts. I'm not sure though but it's super bright and pretty!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Pink Christmas

Good morning, friends! I hope you are all having a fabulous week! Today is the first day of Dustin's new schedule. He won't get off work until 6:30pm so we'll see how that goes. Wish me luck!

Here's a card I made a while ago for Lydia's HYCCT challenge to make a holiday card with lots of pink. I love pink so this wasn't really a challenge for me. I used an SCS sketch from a couple weeks ago for this card.

Hope you all have a fabulous day!
