RCC4 Cupcake Inspiration

Hi friends! I'm scheduling this post because we are off to Tahoe for a couple days. YAY! I'm hoping some relaxing will help my head a little bit. We'll see how that goes! I actually have an MRI on Wednesday morning so hopefully that will clear some things up for me.

Today is the start of a brand new challenge over on the Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog. The challenge is to be inspired by the picture shown. Isn't that cute?! A cute little ribbon centerpiece on a cupcake holder? Adorable! I love inspiration challenges because they are really up for your interpretation. Nothing is "wrong."

Here's my card for this week. I was inspired by the colors and the yummies in the picture. I decided to use Sweet Treats Emily from Sparkle Creations. I made this card based on Sweet Sunday Sketch #118.

Lalala Pink Glittery

I asked Dustin what kind of card I should post today and "Lalala Pink Glittery" is what he said. You see what I deal with?

So, here's the only card I had to kind of met that description, at least it has pink. I made this for the Sparkle Creations challenge #37 which is all neutrals with a pop of color. I also used the Card Positioning Systems sketch for this week.

I colored her up with some Copics which I really need to start coloring more. This is my first time inking up a Sparkle Creations stamp and I have to say I love it! The quality is very nice! I paper pieced her outfit with some Echo Park Be Mine. Then I finished my card with some buttons from Michael's and some twine from The Twinery in Pink Sorbet. I really like how it adds such a nice pop of color. I'm also entering this in the Wee Memories challenge to use twine.

A Card and Some Causes

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great day! My kids are still sick and we are spending yet another day inside. And it's REALLY windy out there! Oy!

Here's yet another reject card. I can't believe I still have more to post! This was based off of sketch 56 for the Go-to Sketches call. I used some Heartfelt Creations stamps for the first time on this one. I hand cut the flowers. I have the dies but I couldn't get it perfect so I figured I'd hand cut this time and practice at a later date. The quote is from Ippity's Delightful Little Things.

A couple other things today:

1. My friend Sparkle is having a fundraiser over at her online store Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps. For every Rin stamp that is purchased through the end of March, she will donate $5 to Japan Disaster Relief. My order is on it's way!

2. My sweet cousin Alexa is participating in an event on April 25, it's 25 hours of silence to support The Invisible Children Protection Plan. She only needs $20 to reach her fundraising goal. This is the first time she's ever participated in a cause like this and I'm SO proud of her. I strongly believe in giving back whenever I can. So, HERE is her donation page.
