Project Life July 29- Aug 4

Hi friends!  I hope you're having a great day!  I'm blogging two days in a row!  It's like I'm back to normal or something.  But really, I don't think I'll be blogging this regularly for a while.  I haven't been creating a lot and then I've been forgetting to take pictures of the stuff I do make.  What can you do?

Here's my second Project Life layout that I'm posting on my blog.  This is as far back as I've gotten.  This layout shows the days leading up to Parker's first day of school and his actual first day of school.  I used Imaginsce's Geek is Chic line for this since it's a school theme.  I embellished with lots of alphabet stickers, washi tapes, a camera wood veneer, and one of the Project Life grid journalling cards.

Here's the right side.
And here's the left side.
And I'm linking up for the first time here:

U Rule!

Hi friends!  I hope that you are doing well.  I'm ok.  I was up last night coughing and throwing up but other than that, I'm ok.  :)  Honestly, with what the last few months have been like, this is a walk in the park.

Yesterday, we had the BEST Fourth of July ever!  Normally, we don't do much for the 4th but this year we did a couple things and it was really fun!  We went to breakfast as a family, then hung out at home for a little bit, then we went to a BBQ with some friends, and then we went to the community park to see the big fireworks show.  It was GREAT!  Parker went swimming for the first time.  It was both kids's first time to see "sky fireworks."  It really was just a wonderful day!

Today, I'm sharing some cards I made for Brady's teachers for the end of school.  His last day was just June 29, so I made these last week.  I made these using some Imaginisce Geek is Chic papers.  I love this line!  I think it's soooo cute!  I have the whole line and I've been hoarding it.  I figured it was time to start using it.

Have a great day, friends!

Lawnscaping Challenge 19 and a SAD Goodbye

Hi friends! I hope you had a great weekend! We had a fun one! There's a giant pumpkin festival every year in our town and we attend each year. It was just as great (if not better) this year and the kids had a great time!

This might seem backwards but I'm gonna start with my goodbye. It's with a VERY heavy heart that I'm stepping down from the Lawnscaping Design Team. If you've been a follower for a while, you know that I've been having some health issues and I need to take some time to work on that. I've really tried to stay on all my teams but I haven't been able to give everyone my best. I'm SO sad to be leaving the AMAZING Lawnscaping team. Each of these women is so kind, talented, loving, and caring. I, honestly, could not have asked for a better support system. They are all now my friends and I'm so lucky to have them! And I have to extend a HUGE thank you to Laurel and Lynnette for asking me to be on this team when it began and believing in my talent every step of the way.

Ok, enough about me! On to the Lawnscaping Challenge! The theme for this challenge is to ADD Dimension to your project! You can use foam adhesives or embellishments to add dimension. The sponsor is Simon Says Stamp which is just an AMAZING store! The winner of the challenge will receive a $25 gift certificate!

Here's my first card for the challenge where I managed to accidentally GLUE my tree layers down instead of popping them. (Proof that I might need a little break.) Though the embossed and glossy papers on this card do give it dimension. I used Lawn Fawn's Critters in the Forest for this card along with some Imaginisce paper.
And now for the card I did right! ;) I used some foam tape to pop all these bandaids to give this card lift! This card uses Lawn Fawn On the Mend and some Basic Grey Lauderdale paper. I am also linking this up to the Link Up for Pink linking party where they are hosting an amazing event for breast cancer!

Zachary's Birthday Card

Hi friends! I hope you had a great day! I was running around a lot today trying to get everything done for my super fun weekend. I was cleaning, cooking, and doing errands and I managed to throw my back out. :( Hopefully, I'll be better tomorrow!
Here's a card I made for Brady's friend Zachary's birthday. They are SO cute! They play together all the time at school and Brady just loves his friend! Brady told me that Zachary loves animals so I made this card for him. Card Positioning Systems 236 for this card but I'm too late to enter it in. Busy couple days! The main image and sentiment are from EAD Designs Carnival Fun. The paper is Imaginsce and the twine is Aqua Divine Twine.

Have a great night, everyone!

Fabric Sheet Flower Card

Hi friends! I hope you are well! We are having a good day. Brady went to school today and was picked as the "special buddy" to his friend who is having a birthday tomorrow. They got to do special activities and his friend brought popsicles to share with the class. After school, we had lunch with a friend of mine and her daughter.
Here's a card I blogged on the Love My Tapes blog today. I made a flat and very mailable flower embellishment by cutting out circles of fabric sheets, inking the edges and layering them. I also made this card for a couple challenges. The sketch is from Clean and Simple Stamping #158. I also made this for this week's Ribbon Carousel Challenge 21 to use fabric on your card. For my spool element, I used Muscade Beige Seam Binding from Ribbon Carousel. (Tons of amazing colors over there!) I also used Imaginsce paper and Lawn Fawn stamps for this card.

Have a great day, everyone!

Fun Announcement!

****For my Ribbon Carousel Challenge post, please scroll down!****

Eeeeeeek! Did you see THIS POST?!? I get to guest design for Your Next Stamp for the month of September! I'm so excited! I've been a fan since the very beginning and I got to meet Karen at CHA-W and she's super nice! I LOVE supporting companies who are just kind and wonderful!
Here's the card I made to be posted on the Your Next Stamp Blog today. :D Miya from China is my FAVORITE Your Next Stamp! I love that YNS offers a World Kids collection! It is awesome to see all different ethnicities being represented in stamps! I colored Miya with Copics and added a couple different color Stickles to make a color that matched the patterned paper. The paper is Imaginisce Garden Party.

Have a great day everyone!

RCC17 Back to School!

Hi friends! Hope you are having a great week so far! We are doing really good. Brady has now adapted to school with the help of a little girl from his class and I'm ECSTATIC! Thank goodness for adorable 4 year old girls! She truly is just a blessing to us!

I'm off this week for Ribbon Carousel Challenge but I decided to play along anyhow. It's a very fun one and it's sponsored by Ribbon Carousel. And you know how I LOVE the Ribbon Carousel! You have a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to The Ribbon Carousel Store. The challenge this week is Back to School. Remember, when you play along with Ribbon Carousel Challenge, you must use ribbon, trim, twine, etc... on your creation.

Here's my card for this week. I used Orange Divine Twine for my spool element. All the paper is Imaginsce.
Ohhh, and there's a BONUS challenge for another $10 gift certificate, check out the RCC17 post for details on that and to check out all the creations from the awesome design team.

Wilson Wednesday

Hi friends! I'm back again. I totally forgot that I was going to post a Wilson Designs Stamps card every Wednesday on my blog while I'm guest designing for them. Kim doesn't require this but I thought it would be fun, plus the stamps are so cute!

Here's my card for this week. I'm a bit slow on joining the mustache trend. I know, where have I been? I love this super cute Simply Silhouettes set! I decided to make a clean and simple card that can be used for almost any occasion. The patterned paper is from Imaginsce.

Have a great rest of the day!

Thinking Of You

Hi friends! Hope you are all having a great day! I'm doing pretty good. I'm sad because it appears that there is a storm coming in and we were having such great weather. But the kids went outside earlier so I think that will hold them over for a while.

Here's a card I made with My Cute Stamps Konnichiwa. I bought this stamp set when Holly put it on special and donated all the proceeds to help Japan. Gotta love a company that gives back! I wanted to ink this up but I didn't want to color so I paper pieced it. I know, I'm a genius! ;) It's super simple but I like it! The paper is Imaginisce from the Garden Party line. The flowers are sakuras (cherry blossoms) so that reminded me of Japan as well.

Have a great day everyone!

CAS Christmas

Hi friends! I hope you are all having a great weekend! Last night, we went out for my friend Nicol's birthday. That was super fun! I'm still a little tired today but we'll see what gets done. I kind of want to decorate the house for Christmas.

So, I made this card for the SCS CAS DT try outs. I didn't make it to the next round. :( But what can you do? I'm a glutton for punishment. I guess this borders on CAS with the super loud designer paper. Maybe I'm just not a CAS designer anymore. However, my recent publications would say otherwise.

Anyhow, have a great rest of the day!

Card Details:
Card Stock: white
Patterned Paper: Echo Park Everybody Loves Christmas
Stamps: Imaginisce Snowy Jo Collection
Misc: polka dot ribbon, bling

Freebie Anyone?!?!

I got this stamp to the right here as a prize in a little blog candy thing I entered.  I HATE it.  I don't like skulls.  I don't like scary stuff.  Do you want it?!?  IF you do, leave a comment.  When this entry gets up to 50 comments (limit 5 comments per person), I'll randomly draw someone and this stamp will be theirs.  Good luck and tell your friends.  I don't want this thing in my house any more.

BTW Imaginisce makes this stamp and I have nothing against the company.  I actually have tons of stuff from them I adore.  Skulls aren't my style.  It's not how I roll.
