Mari and Me is quickly becoming one of my favorite stamp companies. Why? Because they have little Asian people stamps. I just love them. Growing up, I didn't have a lot of Asian items. My dolls were blond. The kids in my movies were caucasian sometimes Hispanic or African American. There were barely any Asian people on the TV. Being Asian was not very main stream yet. I'm glad that's not going to be the case for my son as he grows up.
Anyhow, Mari and Me offers adorable stamps! I based my card around this cute little Asian girl. I just love her! This is also a sketch challenge (178) from a few weeks ago.

Cute card. Love the stamp. I too found Mari and Me when I was looking for Filipino stamps. I haven't bought any yet, but may take the plunge soon along with some Hawaiian themed ones. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to look more through your blog.
ReplyDeletehow cute!!!! Growing up I didn't realize I looked different from everyone else until middle school and then I was wondering where are the asian role models were, besides actresses!? hmmmm still have to research that one. Does my mom count? LOL!
