Last One for Gallery Idol

Hi friends!  I hope you are doing well!  We are ok.  I got my CT Scan results back, they are normal.  YAY!  I got some medication for my head but it probably won't start working for 4-5 days.  Hopefully, it will kick in sooner.

Today, I'm blogging the last card I made for Gallery Idol.  I've been having a lot of fun with this contest.  It's fun to have just a supply that you need to use and then have freedom with the rest of your card.  For this card, I used some kid's washi tape I got at Target in the kid's craft section.  The stamp is from Some Odd Girl and the sparkly enamel dots are from Freckled Fawn.  Wish me luck!

Have a wonderful day, friends!

Hey Foxy

Hi friends!  I hope you're having a great weekend!  Yesterday, we went to a memorial.  It was hard but nice to see such a lovely celebration of William's life.  The kids painted rocks for the rock garden.  We left early since I started to feel really sick in the heat.  I wish we had been able to stay for the tree planting.  But, Parker was asleep before we even got home and Dustin and I both fell asleep for 3 hours so it's probably for the best that we went home.

On a lighter note, here's a card I made for a couple challenges.  Can I first say that I'm NO good at coloring fur?  I should have just done basic shading on this poor fox.  I'm entering this card in the Some Odd Girl August sketch (yes, another one for that same challenge) and the Simon Says Stamp Animal Antics challenge.  I love this sweet image and sentiment from Some Odd Girl!  The paper is from My Mind's Eye.  I was pretty thrilled with myself for not going outside the lines with my markers, so I just die cut the whole circle that the fox is on and adhered it with foam tape.
Have a great day, friends!

For Mia

Hi friends!  I hope you're having a great day!  We had an amazing day yesterday!  We found out that Baby Nugget is a girl, Brady had an excellent day at Kindergarten (his teacher said he's a great listener!), and my friend had a baby and we got to visit her in the hospital.  I love love love babies so that's always a huge treat for me!

Here's a card I made for my friend who just had the baby to give to her daughter, Mia.  She said she couldn't find a big sister type card so I figured I would just make one.  I didn't have the right image so I actually bought this digi from Some Odd Girl specifically for this card but I think I'll use it again since it would be cute for all sorts of little girl cards.  I mean, what little girl hasn't pushed a stroller?  I decided to use the Some Odd Girl August Sketch for this card.  I colored the image with Copic (I'm VERY out of practice), used American Crafts/Dear Lizzie papers, MLS alpha stickers, and some Kaisercraft gems.    Oh and a tiny dot of Stickles for her hairband.
Have a great day, friends!

Wood You Be Mine?

Hi friends!  I hope you had a great day!  We had a pretty good day.  I woke up to some happy email from CARDS Magazine.  Then we went to Brady's school and we changed him to afternoon Kindergarten.  I'm really at peace with this Kindergarten thing, for now.  We'll see how it goes when we get closer.

Here's a card I made for a call that wasn't picked up.  I used Some Odd Girl's Nutsy Kaylee and the paper is Fancy Pants Love Story.  It's a pretty simple card and it's smaller, I think 3.5 by 4.
Have a great day, friends!

Happy Good Friday!

Hi friends! I hope you're having a wonderful day! We went to the Children' Museum today and the kids had a blast! I'm a bit tired right now but nothing too bad.

I wanted to share a couple more challenge cards with you today. I always feel the need to blog challenge cards right away because there have been so many times I didn't blog them on time and the challenge ended.

First up, I made this card for the Some Odd Girl April Challenge (color challenge) as well as the Oozak Challenge #1 (anything goes.) I used Nutsy Kaylee for my card with a sentiment from Tiny Baker Tia. Can you believe how much I like those SOGies to color for them all the time? The ribbon is May Arts, washi tape is Love My Tapes, bling is Kaisercraft, the paper is Pink Paislee, and I used Copics to color.
My next card is another one for the Lawnscaping #31 challenge (to color) and Card Positioning Systems sketch #259. The stamps and paper are from Lawn Fawn, I colored with Copics, accented with Stickles, and added a Zva bling flourish.
Have a great day, friends!

Monday = More Challenge Cards

Hi friends! I hope you had a lovely weekend! We did. Yesterday, we sat around and did nothing. I was pretty exhausted from the wedding on Saturday. Since I got sick, I haven't been doing much so walking around, dancing, and lugging the kids was hard on me. I'm feeling ok today though.

Here are a couple cards that I made over the weekend. The first one is for the March Some Odd Girl Sketch. I love love love Some Odd Girl stamps! I love Kristy, I love Leah L, and I love this sketch. Lots of love going around here. Not sure if you've noticed but it's been a LONG time since I've colored. Really long. I've decided that I need to watch some hair coloring tutorials, I'm not sure I'm EVER gonna get the hang of it. For this card I used Sweet Thinkin' Mae. Honestly, she looked like she'd be the easiest to color of the stamps I have. The paper is American Craft Dear Lizzy Neapolitan and I used Copics to color.
My next card is one I'm not too thrilled with but I'm still going to enter it in the challenges because I made it and why not? Maybe I'll win if it's a random drawing. ;) I'm entering this into the Welcome to the Candy Shop challenge over at Paper Issues as well as Stampin Queens #31 sketch. This is Neapolitan again with a little May Arts ribbon.
Have a great day, friends!
