May Arts and CardMaker Blog Hop (Giveaway)

Hi friends!  I hope that you are all doing well!  Today, I have a very special post for you.  I'm participating in the May Arts and CardMaker Magazine Blog Hop.  To start the hop, please go to the CardMaker Blog.  Be sure to leave comments on every blog because May Arts is giving away a prize to one lucky person, FOUR spools of ribbon!

I haven't made many cards in the last few months.  Since I had the baby, I feel like my creativity is back but my time is really limited.  That and I'm really sleep deprived.  I'm a little rusty at making cards so please bear with me.

My first card is actually featured in the banner!  :D  I was pretty excited when I figured that out!  I used a bunch of colors of May Arts 3/4" striped twill and 1/2" white crinkle ribbon.  The sentiment is from Fresh Squeezed Stamps.

Here's a more vintage card.  I used May Arts 3/4" lace with pearl center, 1/4" trimming ringlets, and gold metallic string.  The paper is Pink Paislee and the stamp is Hero Arts.

My next card is for when someone finds out they are having a little girl.  I used May Arts 1" solid woven check ribbon, 1/2" crotchet ribbon, 3/8" grosgrain striped and stitched, 5/8" satin scalloped edge, 5/8" satin pleats, 3/4" twill stripes, and 5/8" faux suede.  The stamps are Paper Smooches and I added a velvet flower.

And for my last card, I made another baby girl card because apparently I have baby girl on the brain.  I used May Arts 1/2" crotchet, 5/8" satin scalloped edge, and the 1 1/4" silk ribbons.  The stamps are Paper Smooches and the paper is Crate Paper.

I hope you enjoyed my creations!  Next up on the hop is Candy Rosenberg.  Don't forget to leave comments to be entered in the giveaway!  Have a great day, friends!

For My Little Helper

Hi friends!  I hope you are having a great day!  We had a pretty laid back day.  Both my kids went to school today and they both had a great day.  We are adapting to school really well but we're still trying to get a schedule down.  I'm sure it will come soon.

Here's a card I made for my friend's daughter who is helping me out by getting Brady from class so that my friend can pick him up from school.  She's such a sweet little helper that I wanted to make her a card and get her a little gift.  I used some Pink Paislee Hometown Summer elements and papers that I've been hoarding.  The sentiment comes from My Thoughts Exactly Sweet Thoughts stamp set.  This is such a cute sentiment set!
Have a great day, friends!

Wonderful Butterfly

Hi friends!  I hope you're having a great day!  It is hot hot hot here so we just stayed at home today and my friend came over for lunch then we baked some cookies.

Today, I'm showing a card made with one of my older Paper Made Bakery kits called Portobello Road.      I love this kit!  It really speaks to me and my love of vintage.  I don't ALWAYS do vintage on my blog but I do LOVE it a lot.  The papers and stamps are from Pink Paislee.  The ribbon is May Arts.
Have a great day, friends!

Happy Good Friday!

Hi friends! I hope you're having a wonderful day! We went to the Children' Museum today and the kids had a blast! I'm a bit tired right now but nothing too bad.

I wanted to share a couple more challenge cards with you today. I always feel the need to blog challenge cards right away because there have been so many times I didn't blog them on time and the challenge ended.

First up, I made this card for the Some Odd Girl April Challenge (color challenge) as well as the Oozak Challenge #1 (anything goes.) I used Nutsy Kaylee for my card with a sentiment from Tiny Baker Tia. Can you believe how much I like those SOGies to color for them all the time? The ribbon is May Arts, washi tape is Love My Tapes, bling is Kaisercraft, the paper is Pink Paislee, and I used Copics to color.
My next card is another one for the Lawnscaping #31 challenge (to color) and Card Positioning Systems sketch #259. The stamps and paper are from Lawn Fawn, I colored with Copics, accented with Stickles, and added a Zva bling flourish.
Have a great day, friends!

Birdcage Wishes

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great day! We are doing pretty good. We had a very low-key Valentine's Day. Brady is having his Valentine's party today at school since he only goes M/W/F and Monday was a holiday here. I will post pictures of the stuff I made for him later on.

Here's a card I made while I was cropping with my friends last weekend. Wanna know the best part about cropping with your friends? Well, other than spending time with your friends? Using their stuff! ;) I know, I'm horrible! But I get so bored with my own stuff! For this card, I borrowed my friend Marie's new Studio G birdcage stamp. Like she bought it and I used it before she even got a chance too. But hey, that's what best friends are for, right? Anyhow, I used a ton of trims, a button and a doily from the Creating is Fun store for this one. I think I'm gonna do a video on how I distress doilies. :D The paper is from Pink Paislee Sweetness and the sentiment is NEW Dear Lizzy Neapolitan.
Have a great day, friends!

November 2011 SFYTT

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great day! We are tired today! Brady went back to school and we all had to wake up early to him there. Perhaps we should have signed up for afternoon preschool! :) I'm ready for a nap but the kids are not.

Today, I'm sharing my card for Jen del Muro's Nov 11 Sketch For You To Try. I decided to make a vintage card with my new Hero Arts stamp that I got at my LSS for 50% off. The paper is Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden and I added LOTS of Stickles to this. (PS since Christmas decor has gone up, you're gonna see these Christmas lights in my pictures from now on. It's not a statement, it's because I take my pictures on my mantle and we decorate it for Christmas and I'm not taking it down everyday to take pics!)
Have a great day, friends!

Lawnscaping Challenge 16

Happy Monday, friends! I hope you all had a great weekend. I think Brady has a cold, at the very least he has a bad cough so he might not be going to school today. Let's hope that doesn't set us back! ACK!

Ok, today is the third Monday of August and that means it's time for a new Lawnscaping Challenge. This time, the theme is One Layer Magic. (HANGS HEAD IN SHAME) I cheated on my card. :( I thought we were restricted to one layer of card stock and could use patterned paper but now that I'm reading the badge, it says one layer of paper. Sorry friends! Please forgive me!

Our sponsor for this challenge is JBS Mercantile, you know by Jenni Bowlin. I LOVE JBS! The products are all so fabulous! The winner for this challenge will win a JBS Mercantile prize pack of goodies. I'm rather jealous! :)

Here's my (CHEATING) card for this challenge. I used Lawn Fawn's Judy's Blooms and Sophie's Sentiments. I used Jenni Bowlin for Ranger ink in Malted Milk. The paper I used is Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden. I finished with some Liquid Pearls.

Check out the DT:

Congratulations Butterfly

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great weekend! My kidlets are away for the weekend and we are having a relaxing time. Well, it doesn't really matter what we do, it's going to be quiet and that will be relaxing in itself.

Here's a card I made for PC's Gallery Idol competition. I decided to do a little shabby chic card. I'm kind of in love with this Pink Paislee paper, Butterfly Garden. The stamp is from Flourishes. They are awesome for vintage stuff!

Have a great weekend everyone!

RCC5 MUTINY! Anything Goes!

Hi friends! I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend! We started celebrating my hubby's birthday early. Speaking of which, I need to make him a card. He's a little stressed since it's his 30th. I think 30 is young but I'm not there yet so I guess I don't know how I would react.

Alright, I'm "off" this week over at the Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog but it was TOO good to pass up! The theme this week is ANYTHING GOES! Wow, so simple! All you have to do is use ribbon, seam binding, twine, string or pretty much everything that goes on a spool. :) Link up your creations to the RCC5 post on the Ribbon Carousel Challenge blog by June 6, 11:59pm Eastern time.

Here's my card for this week's challenge. I used the Card Patterns 117 sketch. This sketch is just perfect for yummy ribbons! I decided to use some crotchet trim and some seam binding. The papers are Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden and the stamps are from Flourishes. I kind of LOVE this card!

Have a great day everyone!

PM: Embrace Each Moment

Hi friends! Here's the post I'm sharing with you on the Paper Maniac blog today. :) I hope you all are enjoying a nice long weekend! .
Here's my card for this week. It's based on a sketch by a sweet little girl named Carly, you can see details HERE. For this card, I used Unity's Bevy of Butterflies which pairs perfectly with Pink Paislee's Butterfly Garden papers. I used Memento Rich Cocoa to stamp my image, sentiment and distress my edges. The sentiment is on card stock that I die cut with Spellbinders. I finished with some crotchet trim and some Queen and Co pearls.

Paper Maniac just marked down 215 items 10%! You can buy these with the 30% coupon available right now for orders of $20 or more. Just use coupon code GOODBYE.

Have a great day everyone!
