Key to My Heart

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great weekend! I went to the neurologist on Friday and she has given me a plan of treatment for what she thinks might be causing my migraines and other issues. The GREAT news I got is that I don't have MS! YAY! My doctor was concerned about that and it's good to know that I don't have that. Yesterday, I went to a crop with a bunch of my girlfriends to celebrate!

Today, I'm showing a card I made earlier this week. I made this for two challenges: Shop Our Stash (to use red or ribbon or roses) and Forgotten Stamp Friday 31. I shopped my stash for the stamps (obviously, I haven't used them and I've had them for probably 1.5 years) and these pearls. I decided to make a card with red, ribbon and roses. The stamps are from Practicing Creativity, the paper is Colorbok Flea Market, and the ribbon is Ivory Lace from Ribbon Carousel.
Ohhhh! Ribbon Carousel is having a sale! You have to check it out! There are all sorts of yummy trims, ribbons, etc... on sale and you can get your Ribbon Carousel 20% off! But HURRY! Sale ends tonight at 11:59pm!

Have a great day friends!

Beautiful Balloon

Hi friends! Just popping in to share a card I made a couple days ago but forgot to blog. I made this card for the Moxie Fab World In My Beautiful Balloon Challenge.

I found this paper from Echo Park in the Springtime collection and I knew what I needed to do with it! How pretty is that sun? I added Stickles to it to make it really shine. I decided to use the shape of the balloons by stamping the balloon on the back of the paper and then cutting it out. The stamps are from Practicing Creativity. I finished with a little baker's twine in yellow.

Have a nice night!

A Whole Bunch of Stuff!

Hi friends! I hope you're having a great New Year so far! I have a few things to share with you today.

First up is a card that I made that was rejected from a call. You win some, you lose some. Teehee! I'm just lucky to have at least a couple things picked up! :) Here's a very simple card I made with some Practicing Creativity Designs stamps. This reminds me of hot air balloon festivals. All the pretty balloons flying around together.

Next up, I have some news to share with you! I am now on the In Style Stamps design team for the next 6 months! You can read the announcement on their blog HERE. I'm really excited to be starting this new term with this fun stamp company!

Lastly, my friend Lisa has something up her sleeve. I don't know what it is, but I do know that she has a GIANT giveaway and you can read the details HERE. Also, if you would follow Papergrace on Facebook and tell her I sent you, I would REALLY appreciate it!

Balloon Birthday

Hello friends! I hope you are all having a wonderful day! Today, we've already been to breakfast and then a friend's house for lunch. I'm a little exhausted already! I walked to my friend's house so that was my exercise for today.

Here's a card I did last week for a HYCCT challenge. The challenge was to make a birthday card with paper piecing on it. I pulled out my Practicing Creativity Designs stamps and got to work. This card uses the Card Positioning Systems sketch from last week as I made it last week. :D
Have a great day everyone!

Practicing Creativity Sketch

Hi friends! Boy, it's been a STRESSFUL day! Today started with about a billion people coming to our door to see the house b/c it went up for auction today. I DO NOT allow strangers into the house with the kids. Sorry people! The first guy came before 8am! Can you believe it?! I guess the house sold so we'll see what happens. I did however get to take a card class, more about that on Sunday.

Onto the card. My friend Court Baker owns an awesome stamp company called Practicing Creativity. Her stamps are amazing quality and super cute! She has a few sketches over on her blog and I decided to plan along. I used Look Up from Practicing Creativity. The paper is Cosmo Cricket's DeLovely. The ribbon is from Joann Fabrics.

Have a great night everyone! Also, check out my friend Jodi's BLOG CANDY, it is amazing!!

EtsyInspired #87 ~ Lindsay Brackeen

I'm going to have to apologize, yet again, for the short post. I really don't know what to say. I guess, the stress is just getting to me and I am not feeling much like myself lately.

This week's shop is Lindsay Brackeen. This shop is full of fun, whimsical and unique art pieces. They offer different sized prints, original artwork, and dolls. I really like the modern feel of this shop as well as the use of different textures that you can see even in the shop photographs.

Along with this week's amazing shop, we have an awesome sponsor! My friend and former EIC guest designer, Court Baker has her own stamp line called Practicing Creativity. I'm a huge fan of these awesome stamps! She's giving one lucky winner a Key to My Heart stamp set.

Ready to play?
- Visit Lindsay Brackeen's shop and find an item that inspires you
- Create a project of your own based off that inspiration
- Link your project up on this post using the new InLinkz on the EtsyInspired #87 post on the EtsyInspired blog by Friday, May 14 at noon PST

Everyone will be entered into a random drawing to win. If you upload to SCS or PCP, please use keyword EIC87. And please remember to give credit to the shop that you found your inspiration from.

Here's my card for this week. I used Practicing Creativity's You're Dandy set. This is one of my all time favorite stamp sets. I did have to stamp the clouds a couple times to get the pigment ink to show up on the card stock. The DP is Basic Grey, Lemonade. I used the current 2 Sketches 4 You challenge for this card.

Creative Inspirations Paint Sketch

Hello friends! Today I will be featuring a card Creative Inspirations Paints on my blog. I'll have to admit, with all the stuff we have going on right now, I kind of put off my making my card. And my mojo is completely lacking right now. So, I apologize. Also, it's night time so I could get a good picture of the shimmer.

Ok, so this card uses Creative Inspirations Paint in Sunshine. Marti gave us a sketch to work off of. I painted it over some designer paper to show the shimmer, the amazing color but how it allows the pattern through. The DP on the balloon is the same color as the DP on the back of the card. The stamps are from Practicing Creativity Designs. The border punch is EK Success. And the dew drops are from my Caffinated Cropper kit from this month.
ETA: I took another picture using natural light so you can see the shimmer from the paint. So pretty, huh??

Please check out the Creative Inspirations Paints blog to see what the rest of the DT has come up with for this challenge.

The Sky's the Limit

It's another beautiful day in California! YAY! :) We'll be going out to run errands today. I had forgotten how much a baby can eat and drink! I constantly need baby food these days.

I made another Practicing Creativity Designs card for today. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE these stamps? They are so cute! For this card, I used the balloons and sentiment from Look Up and the clouds from You're Dandy. The designer paper is Basic Grey June Bug. And the clouds are all covered in Frosted Lace Stickles. I love the different sizes of the balloons since they are great for depth!

Happy Thursday everyone! :)

Basking in the Sunshine

A couple days ago, we went to the park to enjoy the sunshine. You should have seen it! The sun was out. The grass was green. The sky was full of fully white clouds. I'm really really enjoying this weather and I'm hoping it sticks around for a while. Today, I'm sharing a couple more fun sunny cards with you all.
Here's a card I made with my Practicing Creativity set, You're Dandy. I love this set! It has sold out TWICE! Love these stamps, they are so easy to use! The DP here is all American Crafts Heat Wave, as is the chipboard sticker sentiment. The ribbon is from Joann Fabrics. The die cut is Nesties Label 8.
The next card I made uses a super cool Hambly screen! I used Love My Tapes adhesive to attach the screen to the cardstock and you can barely see it. The ribbon is from Joann again. The stamps are Unity Stamp Co. And again, the chipboard sentiment is American Crafts. I did the edge on this card with a decorative scissor. It's kind of a tiny pinking with waves in it. That's probably a horrible explanation. I think it's kind of edgy so I used it on this "boy-ish" card.

And a few pictures from the park. Just in case you were starting to forget what the kids look like. ;)

Beautiful park by our house.

Practicing Creativity

Did you know that my friend (and Feb EIC guest designer) Courtney Baker has her own stamp company? It's called Practicing Creativity. She currently has two stamp sets that you can purchase directly from her blog, click HERE.

I wanted to tell you a little bit about these stamps. Ok, so these stamps are awesome! They are clear photopolymer which is about a million times than acrylic. These are FABULOUS! Forget anything I've said in the past about other brands, these ones are the BEST! I didn't have to prime them. I didn't have to use special ink. I didn't have to stamp on a mousepad. The images are crystal clear. Did you see how many times I stamped the dandelion yesterday? It was so easy!

I used the You're Dandy set. You also saw a card using this same set yesterday on my EIC post. For this card, I used the two dandelions, the little pieces coming off the dandelion, and the Thank You sentiment. The ribbon is May Arts. The twine is SU. On the dandelions and the fluff, I used the Sakura Quickie Glue Pen and some Sparkly Fluff.

You'll see lots more Practicing Creativity creations from me. Now, it's really important that you know that Court NEVER asked me to write this. She and I are friends but I would not steer you wrong. Court is as sweet as sugar and as talented as they come. Check out her BLOG.
