Whisker Graphics Challenge 1 : Use a Tag

Hi friends!  I hope you are doing well.  We are having a bit of a struggle this weekend because everyone is a bit under the weather.  But you know what?  School is OUT so life is good, right?

Today, we are kicking off the BRAND NEW Whisker Graphics Challenge.  Each month there will be a new challenge starting on the first of the month and ending on the last day of the month.  You must use a Whisker Graphics product to enter the challenge, if you don't have one, check out the FREE printables.  This month's challenge is Use a Tag on Your Project.  You can make anything you want and link it up on the Whisker Graphics Blog.  Here's my sample for this month's challenge:

I used a Large Colored Tag in yellow and a Small Colored Tag in orange.  I also used Raspberry Divine Twine and Teal Divine Twine.  The patterned paper is Amy Tangerine Yes Please.  I used a Studio Calico Wood Veneer Butterfly.  And the stamps are from Fresh Squeezed Stamps Happy Hexagons.  I'm also entering this into the Fresh Squeezed Stamps challenge #8 - summer.

Be sure to check out THIS POST on the Whisker Graphics Blog to link up your creations and to check out what the rest of the design team did.  Have a great day, friends!

Teacher Appreciation Week Wrap-up

Hi friends!  I hope you're having a beautiful day!  We are so-so.  Avery has some sort of virus that's running its' course through her system and causing her lungs to swell so she has to be on a nebulizer for a while.  I'm hoping it clears up quickly.  Anyone who's dealt with respiratory issues knows how scary it can be.  Brady's also getting over some sort of virus but he seems to be fairing much better.

Here are a couple more projects I did for Teacher Appreciation Week.  They are super simple small things.  I just wanted to send little tokens of appreciation everyday.  I used to work in education so I really appreciate what teachers do for their students.  I had one for everyday but forgot to photograph the one I sent on Thurs.  It was M&Ms with a poem about teachers.

This first one is just a 3 pack of Extra gum in a Polka Dot Bitty Bag with a Chick Sticker to seal it.  I used a Colored Tag with a bit of Divine Twine to write the sentiment "Thanks for being EXTRA-ordinary!" then I had Brady sign it.  I wanted to use a bunch of great free printables I found on Pinterest but my printer is out of ink so I had to go with what I had.
Here's an idea I got off Pinterest.  I found these fun reusable jars and filled them with those little packets you put into a bottle of water to flavor it.  I added some May Arts ribbon and added a tag that says "Thanks for helping me find my creative JUICES!"  I stamped the crayon and pencil with some Paper Smooches stamps.
On the last day, I sent these gift cards.  My friend Latisha posted a picture on her Facebook where she stamped directly on the gift card holder.  Hers is MUCH nicer but I was on a time crunch.  You can see Latisha's project HERE.  I used some Paper Smooches stamps for this and some Copics to color them.
Have a great day, friends!

Please Define "Good"

Hi friends!  I hope you are doing well.  We are doing pretty good.  Just trying to get ready for Christmas.  I'm too big and uncomfortable to sleep at night anymore so now I'm just hoping that the baby will come early.  But you know babies, they come when they want to.

Today, I'm sharing a tag I made.  I'm linking this up with the Challenge Chicks who are a group of gals who do monthly challenges for fun.  :)  I have a few friends in this group so I figured I would play along.  Here's my tag that I made with some Cosmo Cricket paper, My Thoughts Exactly stamps, May Arts Burlap String, and some tinsel stuff that I got at Target in the gift wrap section.
Have a great day, friends!

FWF: Merry Christmas M&Ms

Hi friends! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I'm not currently out black Friday shopping but I'm thinking about going out in the morning to see what's left. Is that a weird approach? I don't really need anything so I don't want to fight off anyone.

I've decided to show a project for Unity's Friends With Flair blog hop this week. Here's a project I made for my craft fair that didn't sell. I think I'm just going to give these to Brady's class if I can find more of these tubes. I used Unity's Christmas Bough for the tags on this. I also used GCD Studios paper and Holiday Divine Twine.
Don't forget to LEAVE A COMMENT because you never know where the blog candy is hidden! Check out everyone on today's hop right HERE.

Happy Halloween!!!

Hello friends! I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! I've been hanging out with my friends a lot and that's been wonderful! I can't wait to trick or treat tonight! This is will Parker's first REAL trick or treat, last Halloween he was 4 months old so he sat in the stroller and watched.

Today, I am sharing with you some tags I made for a party that the kids went to earlier this week. My friend Amy made cookies and I made these tags to go on the bags. We have lots of little friends who I love! I hope they enjoyed their treats! I made three different variations of the same tag for them using Ippity's That's Creepy.

Happy Halloween, if you celebrate that, if not Happy Sunday!! :)

Tag Details:
Card Stock: Black
Patterned Paper: Stampin Up

Caffinated Cropper Hoppin'!

****Second post for today, for FWF please scroll down!****

Hi everyone! Welcome to another fun Caffinated Cropper hop for Pocket Full of Sunshine! You should be joining me from Amber's blog. If not, hop back over to Amy's blog to start the hop!

Today, I have a tag to share with you. Teehee, it really is my blog, I promise! ;) I love getting these different things in the kits that I might not normally try, I really like how this turned out. EVERYTHING is from my Pocket Full of Sunshine kit.

I took the shipping tag and inked it with the chalk ink that comes with the kit. I layered some of the fun Sassafrass papers, added the flower and the button. I stamped one of the THREE Paper Makeup Stamps from the kit on the tag. Then I took the chalk ink and dyed the bakers twine with it so it would match. I love how well the color of the ink matches the paper!

I'm the last stop on today's hop! If you haven't already picked up your kit, you need to stop by Amy's Blog and click that BUY button! :) I hear there are a few of the past kits available too for you to snatch up!!

QKD 12 Days of Christmas: Day 3

Sorry that my post is late. I just have a lot going on and being sick is not helping. I'm sure it's not helping that it's this is such a busy time of year.

Anyhow, here's a tag I made using the adorable Oven Stamp from QKD. The tag is made with Nesties Lable One. The vellum on the top has snowflakes on it but you can't see it in the picture. I hand wrote the sentiment since I wanted it to be personal. The ribbon is just from Michael's.

The cookies are yummy yummy molasses cookies. YAY! Hope you all are having a great day!

AiFactory Challenge 4

It's Tuesday and time for another AiFactory challenge on at the challenge blog! This week, the prize is a cool Photoshop brush set for Halloween called The Haunted Tags and Quotes. We are having a lot of fun gearing up for Halloween! I got confused and thought that we were supposed to make a tag but in actuality the prize was a "tag" kit. So, I made a tag. What can you do?

I did, however, include the challenge that we were actually issued when I made the tag. Erin issued the challenge this week and it was a tough one for me! It's a color challenge. The colors to use are purple, red, orange, yellow and black. I'm gonna add the swatch that she gave us so it doesn't overwhelm you too much. I think it's easier once you see it all together. Now, it's a challenge for me since you know how I like to use just a few colors per project.

So, I used ALL the colors given and made a tag. Quite a feat for me! I used a couple of Marvy tag punches. I printed out the cat image rather small to fit it on this tag. I colored it with some markers. I added some Black Diamond Stickles to the edge of the image and some purple rhinestones. And I added some ribbon.

Sorry for the small project this week! I'm just super overwhelmed with personal stuff and just everything going on. Also, if I owe you a prize, I am still in the process of sending it. I had to wait until this pay period to do so. They are coming soon!
